Flyin Cut Sleeves

Flyin Cut Sleeves (DVDs)

This is the fantastic story of the teacher Rita Felcher, who lived in the Bronx and interviewd and filmed gang members in the 60s and 70s, many of them she knew personally. She portrays the lives of these street gang memberes over a 20-year period. A remarkable perspective on life in the ghetto. the film is produced by Mrs felcher and Henry Chalfant and never before out on Dvd. Some scenes have become youtube-classics, like the round of presentations at the peace speech in 1971, where a young Afrika Bambaataa is the Black Spades warlord. Highly recommended!
